The NEXGEN Leadership Program is an 8-month curriculum designed to enhance the leadership skills and knowledge of high potential construction professionals. Participants are focused on building relationships, personal and professional development, and industry engagement and awareness. Members of the NEXGEN class will gain knowledge and experience through leadership coaching, industry specific content, and peer networking.
NEXGEN Sessions designed to create opportunities and experiences with Central Florida projects leaders, decision makers, model design teams, and a healthy balance of fresh and seasoned industry role models. Off-site locations are often paired with a site tour to align with the session topic. Each session consists of future leaders, leadership alumni, and active membership contributors who volunteer their time to this program. Typically, sessions are scheduled 11am- 5pm, once a month, October to May, with an ABC graduation celebration in June.

Who Should Apply?
Up-and-coming leaders and seasoned professionals are all welcome from Central Florida Chapter ABC general contractors, subcontractors, associates, and suppliers. There is no age requirement for this program, but rather dedication and passion in the construction world. Criteria for all applicants require decision making ability within their company and encourage those who have been in the industry for at least one year.
All applications are due by the application deadline. All completed applications and supporting materials will be reviewed by the NEXGEN Council. Space is limited therefore each applicant will be asked to take part in an interview with the Council. Once all interviews are completed, the Council will announce the next class participants. NEXGEN Program applications are accepted annually starting in June through September. Applicants who are not accepted may reapply the following June for a future program.

Required Supporting Material
Applicants will be notified to send a copy of their resume and the most recent headshot before they can schedule their interview.
Participants and their nominating supervisor agree to adhere to the NEXGEN Leadership Program Rules of Engagement.
Attendance to all sessions for the entirety of the agenda is expected. Participants who miss more than two (2) program days will be dropped without refund of tuition and nominating supervisor will be notified. Cell phone and tablet/computer use during class is prohibited.
The commitment to the NEXGEN program extends beyond the scheduled class dates. This commitment includes meeting in smaller groups outside of the class, getting engaged with the NEXGEN Alumni base, volunteering for the NEXGEN Council, and attending ABC events.
