Ever wish you knew more about the construction industry? How about your accountant, business development professional or your office manager – does their lack of first-hand experience hold them back from achieving all you hope them to? If so, this program is for you! This four-session course is part two in the series and will help the participant gain a better understanding of the industry and how ‘things work.’  Learn key terminology, industry standards, & Project Management processes.

Ideal for:

  • Administrative Professionals
  • Bookkeepers
  • Assistant Project Managers
  • Communications/Marketing Professionals
  • Business Development/Sales Professionals

This course has been designed as a follow up to and builds on the Construction 101 course and provides a deeper dive into Project Management and Superintendent fundamentals.  Students will learn how construction firms manage the construction process from set up to turn over and will gain a basic understanding on how projects are managed from the field. Key topics include document management & control, project management tools, material tracking, contracts, change orders, submittals, progress schedules, site utilization, subcontractor coordination, punch list, inspections, and safety management.
