Basic Project Estimating is a 15-hour program that introduces the basic concepts of what goes into accurate and timely project cost estimating. Live-instructor led via Zoom.

Dates/Times (must attend all): March 24, 31, April 14, 21, 28, May 5 (No class April 7)
3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Objectives:

Describe the bid process.

Explain types of estimate and elements of an estimate.

Define how to organize an estimating document.

List quantity take off techniques and pricing techniques.

Understand estimating labor, materials, and equipment costs.

Identify direct and indirect costs and determine profit and overhead markups.

Determine bid submission.

Learn about post-bid follow up.

Intro to Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets*
