Basic Project Estimating is a 15-hour program that introduces the basic concepts of what goes into accurate and timely project cost estimating. Live-instructor led via Zoom.
Dates/Times (must attend all): March 24, 31, April 14, 21, 28, May 5 (No class April 7)
3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Objectives:
- Describe the bid process.
- Explain types of estimate and elements of an estimate.
- Define how to organize an estimating document.
- List quantity take off techniques and pricing techniques.
- Understand estimating labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Identify direct and indirect costs and determine profit and overhead markups.
- Determine bid submission.
- Learn about post-bid follow up.
- Intro to Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets*
Required for this course:
