Casino Night
ABC Central Florida
The annual Casino Night will begin with light hors d'oeuvres, followed by dinner, music, and a variety of gaming to include blackjack, roulette, craps, and poker. Proceeds will support the efforts of the Workforce Enhancement Fund which supports construction education programs and promotes careers in construction in the Central Florida area.
Through the Workforce Fund Program, ABC Central Florida is proud to support the promotion of careers in construction and help build the commercial construction workforce by providing grants to local organizations.
The ABC CF Workforce Committee is responsible for leading the chapter’s effort to support construction workforce training which bring new skilled or semi-skilled trades workers into the industry or improves skills of entry-level workers which leads to a safer and more productive workforce.
The fund is subsidized by a portion of the chapter dues and through fund raising efforts, such as the annual Casino Night.
Since inception, this fund has assisted merit shop construction related apprenticeship and craft training programs along with organizations that promote careers in construction including the ACE Mentor program (which promotes careers in architecture, engineering and construction in high schools), the Academy of Construction Technology, and construction programs in Seminole, Osceola, Lake and Orange County high schools.
