Professional Development Session, 10 AM

Learn about the biggest US trends in construction technology and innovation in areas including automation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, VR in the classroom, innovative safety and more.

Session:
We will dig into the key construction technology and innovation trends, and understand how they impact contractors of all sizes. This session will benefit, project managers, safety leaders, innovation leaders, CEO’s, CIO’s, and young professionals.

Presented by Matt Abeles
Bio: Matt Abeles is the vice president of construction technology and innovation for ABC National. In his role, he is responsible for educating, and innovating ABC members nationally through multiple mediums. He is also collaborating with the tech community, especially in his effort with the tech alliance, to bring exclusive offerings, content, education and resources to ABC’s members and chapters. Helping our members be safer, more profitable and win work through technology and innovation is Abeles’s primary objective. He helps leads ABC’s construction technology and innovation committee to ensure national efforts are constantly heading in the right direction supportive of ABC members in the right way.

Abeles has advised and raised capital for many construction technology companies, as well as positioned himself as an industry leader in the technology construction field. He co-founded BuiltWorlds in 2014, a media company and digital network for construction, real estate, finance and development leaders, which hosts global events and produces industry research. In this role, he was responsible for outreach to established and emerging players in the construction and real estate sectors developing next-generation technologies, as well as talking to influential audiences about the future of the construction industry.

ABC of Florida State Convention Group Room Rates

There are limited beach front rooms and suites available. Group rate is available three days pre/post, based on group availability. Group rates are available for registered convention attendees only.

Resort Fee
There is a daily discounted resort fee of $25 (normally $47) which includes:

Complimentary in-room and meeting room high-speed Wi-Fi
Complimentary coffee in rooms, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach services, and access to the fitness center and fitness classes (excluding yoga).

Members also get a 10% discount on spa services and 10% discount on golf.

Parking Discounts for ABC Members

Valet parking is $25 per car, per day, discounted from $40.

Room Reservation Deadline

ABC of Florida has reserved a limited number of rooms at a discounted group rate, which is available while supplies last. The deadline for the group rate is June  22, 2026.  After this date, there is no guarantee that rooms or the group rate will be available.

The resort requires a one night’s room and tax deposit with each individual reservation. Individuals canceling less than seven days prior to the scheduled arrival date will forfeit their deposit.
