Collegiate Student Chapter
ABC Central Florida
Associated Builders and Contractors University of Central Florida (ABC/UCF) Student Chapter consists mainly of students seeking a degree in Civil & Construction Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
Purpose
The purpose of the ABC/UCF Student Chapter is to merge the gap between perspectives and methods as seen and performed in the industry, with how it is learned in the academic setting. Through this program, the Central Florida Chapter ABC members will be preparing up-and-coming civil and construction engineers as well as students pursuing a career in construction with a more realistic understanding of how the industry operates while teaching them how to maximize the concepts learned in the classroom. Through various opportunities such as student competitions, monthly networking events, jobsite visits, scholarships and fellowships, the student chapter gains exposure to UCF faculty & alumni as well as leaders in the Central Florida commercial construction community.
Goals
ABC/UCF Student Chapter goals begin with achieving academic excellence, while remaining highly competitive amongst peers, and establishing a dominate presence in the construction industry.

Events
Collegiate Golf Fundraiser
Show support for the University of Central Florida Student Chapter and the Seminole State Student Chapter aiding them to compete in the National ABC Collegiate Competition. Meet UCF Civil Engineering students and Seminole State Construction Management students seeking a future in the commercial construction industry. With your support at this fundraiser event, you will help send the student chapter to the annual National ABC Construction Management Competition!

Awards
- 2019 – The ABC/UCF Student Chapter won 3rd place in Quality Control at the Construction Management Competition in Long beach, CA! Special shout out to Nicolas Becerra, University of Central Florida, who won 2nd place for a new individual award this year for his score on the written test component.
- 2018 – 3rd place in Quality Control at the Construction Management Competition
