About the Class

Every project team member and construction professional in the construction industry needs to understand and apply basic knowledge as well as perform primary tasks that require blueprint reading. This 18-hour introductory course will provide blueprint fundamentals (knowledge and application) needed to help you organize and apply blueprint reading skills to contribute to the completion of projects – whether working in the field, supporting from the office, or advising and supporting as a professional, planner, or advisor.

This is a prerequisite for ABC Central Florida’s future BLUEPRINT READING II (Intermediate Reading and Quantity Takeoffs) Course.

  • Plan reading for geometric plans, grading plans, utility plans, photometric plans, foundation plans
  • CSI master format specifications (multiple divisions) & general requirements, site construction
